Billboard celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Hot Rap Songs Chart by looking back at the songs that topped the charts since its inception. So which track performed the best? It's probably not what you expect. The hottest rap song per the charts is "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz.

Curiously, 1994's "Tootsee Roll" by 69 Boyz bowed in at No. 2 and 1999's "Hot Boyz" by Missy "Misdemeanor"Elliott feat. Nas, Eve & Q-Tip came in at No. 3. The more expected, The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Warning" and "Big Poppa" comes in at No. 8, while Digital Underground's "The Humpty Dance" rounds out the ten spot.
