Future and Yo Gotti link up on "Day 1," a bass-heavy cut produced by 808 Mafia that delivers boastful rhymes from the two rappers. But it's more than that, as they both also assert that, despite riding high on fame, they're still the same dudes that came up in Atlanta and Memphis, respectively. "I got that check on me, I been like that since day one/I keep my niggas with me, I been like that since day one," Future says in syrupy Auto-Tune. Staying loyal to your roots is something to be proud of. Future and Yo Gotti can attest to that.
"Day 1" is included on DJ Esco's upcoming mixtape No Sleep which will be released December 17. Additional features include Meek Mill, Rocko, French Montana, DJ Khaled, and more. Esco is best known as Future's current tour DJ and the man who introduced Future to Mike WiLL Made It.
