Cleveland's Stalley takes a trip out West in this new video, where he ends up in the Los Angeles River culvert (which you probably remember from the exciting car race scene from Grease) with his pal Schoolboy Q.
The song, from Stalley's recently released mixtape Honest Cowboy, is called "NineteenEighty7," which is strange because it sounds a lot like 1993. Snoop Dogg's classic "Gz and Hustlas," to be specific, because it similarly samples the superfunky piano-and-bass fwomp of Bernard Wright's "Haboglabotribin."
And that didn't come come in 1987 either. That one's from '81. So I really don't know what's going on. Except that the video looks great and the song sounds like Killa Cali for sure.
