If you think deep house is the "next sound" and are looking to get an edge on your friends, make sure to check out Canadian duo Art Department and their debut mix compilation, Social Experiment 003. The mix features a range of tunes from Art Department and their No.19 label signees and other stalwarts like Jamaie Jones and Ali Love.

One-half of Art Department and No. 19 label founder Johnny White remarked, "This is Art Department’s first ever mix compilation and I’m doing it on my record label with my whole team who has been there since long before the start. It’s a big thing. It’s projects like this that feel like defining moments for us and inspire us." And the mix certainly seems to execute this "defining moment." A combination of the aforementioned deep house sound, the mix also touches on the tech house, techno and disco styles and where all these styles have converged.  If you're sick of the big room craze and you are looking for something new, go to school with these guys and check out the Art Department.
