The past seven days saw some pretty huge releases from big names in their respective genres. In hip-hop, you had Rick Ross unveiling his giant God Forgives, I Don't collaboration, "3 Kings," while The xx finally returned with a perfectly romantic single, "Angels." There were some other notable collaborations, a straight-up technical rap exercise, and a surprisingly mellow remix, too. Find out exactly what they are right here in our best songs of the week post.

Hot Chip "Look At Where We Are (Major Lazer vs. Junior Blender Mix)"
The Major Lazer vs. Junior Blender mix of Hot Chip's single, "Look At Where We Are," embraces the subdued vibes of the track. It also wraps said vibes up in a haze of reggae-tinged haze, creating a summery sing-along track primed for the rest of the season. You can find the original on Hot Chip's In Our Heads while Major Lazer's remixes drop on vinyl Aug. 13.
Rick Ross f/ Dr. Dre & Jay-Z "3 Kings"
Without question, "3 Kings" was the most anticipated track on Rick Ross' soon-coming God Forgives, I Don't and to appease his fans, he shared the track this past week. It finds Rozay trading verses with hip-hop stalwarts Dr. Dre and Jay-Z, the latter of whom commands nearly the entirety of its second half. It also should serve as the topic of choice for arguing hip-hop heads for the next week or so.
Danny Brown "Molly Ringwald" (Prod. AraabMuzik)
Danny Brown and AraabMuzik connected as part of Yours Truly's Songs From Scratch series, but, hopefully, "Molly Ringwald" isn't the only collaboration we hear from these two. The Detroit rapper sounds right at home over the menacing, haunting beat from Dipset's favorite producer.
Action Bronson "Blackbird"
Action Bronson and Thelonious Martin's collaboration, "Blackbird," serves two purposes. First and foremost, it's the second single from Closed Sessions Vol. 2, a compilation highlight Chicago-based label Closed Sessions. But beyond that, it's a chance for Bronson and Martin to flex their respective chops on the straight-spittin', dusty-as-hell cut.
The xx "Angels"
This past week marked the official return of London's The xx, who have been relatively quiet over the past year or two. But they're ready to release their sophomore album, Coexist, on Sept. 11 and "Angels" proves that point. It's a romantic, dreamy cut from the trio, from whom the world's been itching to hear new music.
