In the wake of Adam "MCA" Yauch's passing five days ago, the collective music listening world has been remembering the classic music he created as part of the Beastie Boys. And in case you need proof of that, here it is: their album sales skyrocketed by 1,235 percent this past week.

They sold a total of 55,000 units and, most impressively, will see their 1987 debut, Licensed To Ill, re-enter the Billboard's Top 20. That album alone pushed 19,000 copies. The Beasties also crushed it in terms of digital singles sales, moving 151,000 downloads. You can see more of a sales breakdown at the Billboard website.
