MTV is the next network to join the late night line-up. The television program that hosted a variety of reality shows in the past is finally getting back to its music roots. They have announced a new music and performance show for hip-hop heads called MTV's Hip-Hop POV.

The weekly program will feature a group of hip-hop’s key figures who will give unfiltered commentary on the hottest topics in the game. Power 105’s radio personality Charlamagne Tha God and blogger/journalist Sowmya Krishnamurthy will be leading the pack. Others include Sway In The Morning's Devi Dev, Def Jam VP of A&R Bu Thiam, and Amanda Seales, formerly known as Amanda Diva. Adding to their panel discussions, a performance from a musical guest will conclude each episode.

The show is produced by Tiffany Lea Williams and Brian Saracusa and is set to premiere on April 4 at midnight right after Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew.
