Video: Pill Says He Never Got A Push From Maybach Music Group

The ATL rapper feels that he didn't get any promotion on radio and TV.

UpdatePill made it clear to MTV that he was never technically signed to Maybach Music Group: "I never signed any paperwork with [Rick] Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already," he said. He then tweeted that he has apparently parted ways with both MMG and Warner: "There are no shots at Rozay or Warner Bros. I'm just deciding to go my separate ways. Love to MMG for the opportunity.. Peace."

It was just six days ago that Pill took to his Twitter account to vent his frustration over his label situation, particularly the fact that he feels he never got proper radio or TV treatment. But because things can sometimes get lost in translation, he made a more official statement today in an interview with MTV. In the above video, the Atlanta spitter breaks down his issues with being on a major label, including saying he didn't receive a push even though he had tracks with radio-friendly acts like 2 Chainz and Meek Mill.

But the most telling part about all this? Pill's final statement about Rick Ross and the Maybach Music Group crew: "I ain’t really got too much to say to somebody that ain’t got too much to say to me. I’m not a brown-nose. I ain’t a punk ass n***a and I’m not finna go trying to chase behind somebody that ain’t sayin’ nothing to me."
