50 Cent is a busy guy. The G-Unit general may not be flooding the radio with hits and the streets with mixtapes like he once did, but that doesn't mean he's slowed down. From movies to headphones to a new energy drink called Street King—you'd best believe 50 is still getting money.
But no matter how many straight-to-DVD movies he makes—or how much cash he generates on his next venture—50 is (and always will be) a rapper in our eyes. So we can't help but wonder what's up with a new 50 album? Especially after he scrapped the idea of doing an album called Black Magic and later went on Twitter and vented his frustrations about Interscope, Jimmy Iovine, and even Dr. Dre.
To find out what's what, we caught up with the man born Curtis Jackson at the Hudson Hotel in NYC and asked him directly. He assured us that the still untitled disk is already done and even found time to talk about hipster rap.

“My album’s done. I’ve just got to go through the mixing process. I always have issues with people not moving at the pace that I move at. It’s obvious I work a lot. They don’t work as often as I do, or they’re patient. [Interscope] thinks it’s going to be better if they wait. [They think] I’m going to change my mind and switch to something different in the presentation.
