After hearing Diggy blurt out the word "Queens!" on his debut single, it sort of caught us off guard. I mean, after all, we watched him grow up in a fairly large house in Saddle River, New Jersey on Run's House for about five years. But whether or not the son of legendary Run–D.M.C. member Joseph "Run" Simmons was trying to earn hood stripes by repping the New York City borough, "Copy, Paste" is catchy and the accompanied Phil the God-directed visual adds just the right touch. If all goes well, Diggy will release his debut major label studio album later this year.
