Over the years, the Queensbridge MC has openly cited his appreciation for records he grew up on, and we’ve noticed he’s most poignant and comprehensible when he speaks on a topic of his interest: the good ol’ days. Japanese company TDK, well known for its data storage media products, has sparked a new campaign featuring musicians with memories of using the company’s cassette tapes. Nas, growing up as a child of the ‘80s, has vivid memories of creating his own mixtapes off radio cuts. In this mini-documentary, we find an enthusiastic Nasir citing his list of favorite artists, the method he used to create mixes, and how it all affected his childhood growing up in QB.
