Watch This Man Add a Naked Twist to the Old-Fashioned Tablecloth Trick

This Japanese man has taken the tablecloth trick and turned it into something truly magical.

If you’re familiar with Newton's First Law of Physics, you know there’s really nothing magical about the age-old tablecloth trick—the one where someone swiftly pulls the fabric off a set table, leaving all the plates, glasses, and silverware seemingly untouched. Though it’s a classic move often seen in film and TV, the tablecloth trick isn’t very impressive or exciting; however, one man has added a bizarre, somewhat amusing wrinkle to the stunt. And the internet has become obsessed.

Japanese Twitter user @uespiiiiii uploaded a series of videos in which he executes the tablecloth trick using household appliances, teacups, a Daft Punk soundtrack, and his nearly—if not completely—naked body.

Some of the videos have garnered up to 45,000 retweets and 60,000 likes, earning the man global recognition. Though he’s only recently received headlines for his take on the tablecloth trick, he’s apparently been working on his skills as far back as 2016.
