Apple's latest version of its operating system iOS 11 will not be available for the public until this fall. But in the meantime, you can download their first public beta. That is, of course, if you're feeling little adventurous. Since Apple is going to be ironing out the kinks in the months leading up to the launch, be prepared to encounter some issues. If you would rather just wait, we've got you covered with a breakdown of the most game-changing features to whet your appetite.

Even though Screen Recorder wasn't mentioned in the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote earlier this month, it remains one of the standout aspects coming out of the beta version. The feature allows users to record whatever they do on their iPhone, add voiceover commentary, and share it as a video with others. It may sound like a problem waiting to happen for that messy person in your life—and you know what? You're probably right.

According to Tech Crunch, another interesting feature is the inclusion of a blue status bar that appears when an app is using your location as it runs in the background. Previous versions would saddle you with the Sophie's choice of options—“Always” and “Never"—when it came to allowing an app to use your location. It's a small alteration, but a necessary one since it's better to be asked to send your location than to just have the app take it.

The Control Center will now take up your entire screen with iOS 11. The added space not only allows to make adjustments to things like the brightness and volume, but you can also add buttons to get the most out of the feature.

With Live Photos, you can essentially create GIFs, pick from that string of images, and make it your primary photo.

Please be advised that if you decide to take the iOS 11 beta version for a spin, DO NOT use your primary device.
