A pilot who lost power and crashed his single-engine plane in Mukilteo, Washington Tuesday walked away from the scene with no injuries. The Piper PA32 plane crashed at approximately 3:30 p.m. local time shortly after taking off from Paine Field, King 5reported

"[The plane] struck the light pole where it erupted a fuel cell," Myron Davis, of the Mukilteo Police Department, said of Tuesday's incident. "It spilled fuel onto the roadway, onto a vehicle which ignited." Power outages were reported in the area immediately following the crash, with power restored "within a couple hours."

The incident, which occurred near Mukilteo Speedway, was caught on a driver's dash cam. Here's a longer version of that footage, via YouTube user Simon Li:

Both the pilot and single passenger managed to walk away unharmed. The Seattle Timesreported that "minor injuries" were sustained on the ground by two people. Multiple cars were also damaged, though the pilot managed to bring the plane to a stop "a few hundred yards" from the nearby intersection.

A preliminary report on the crash from the National Transportation Safety Board is expected to be released next week.
