Video Shows Moment Masked Suspect Almost Breaks Into Home to Steal Yeezys

A Texas family is speaking out after someone allegedly tried to steal their Yeezys.

A family in Texas says a would-be burglar wanted something very specific from their home: a pair of prized Yeezy Boost 350s. NBC 5 DFW reporter Meredith Yeomans broke the story Friday, sharing footage alleging to show the unidentified suspect's attempted entry into the family's McKinney-area home, as well as some thrilling commentary from the residents themselves.

"So here they are," one resident told Yeomans as he removed a single Yeezy shoe from the box and gazed upon them, as one does. "These are the shoes that caused all of this and are the rage amongst, you know, teenagers."

In another video, a woman described as "McKinney mom" showed off a weapon and confirmed that she was indeed "locked and loaded." In a message to "the kid who broke into my home," she offered the following: "By the way, thank you for leaving all the evidence behind, because guess what? You are on camera breaking into our home, and you're so smart that you left your fingerprints everywhere for the McKinney [Police Department]."

This isn't the first stolen Yeezys incident. For example, an audience member at the 2015 edition of the Open Air Festival in Switzerland tried to grab Travis Scott's Boosts right off his feet. That attempt was quickly proven a failure, with Scott calling out the audience member and telling the crowd to "fuck him up."

The McKinney Police Department did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment on the Texas incident. A detailed report from Yeomans on the attempted Yeezy theft is expected to be shared Friday night. This post will be updated accordingly.
