A raccoon at a Russian zoo has become obsessed with breasts, and an advertising studio believed to be responsible might have to pay the price. According to a report from the BBC, the zoo loaned the raccoon to the studio for use in a television commercial. But when a topless model appeared on set, the raccoon became over-stimulated. The animal saw a dramatic shift in mood following the shoot.
The raccoon, who goes by the name of Thomas, may have already had an affinity for the female anatomy. The case has become a real he-said she-said affair, with the zoo claiming that treats were hidden on the model in order to keep Thomas’ interest. Meanwhile the Moscow-based studio, Art-Msk, says Thomas grabbed the model’s bra and nibbled on it.
The zoo is now seeking damages, a claim Art-Msk's Valery Bogatov calls ludicrous. If the video was pornographic in nature, it would ever be broadcast on federal television as it was intended, he said.
While Thomas’ behavior initially disturbed female staff at the zoo, the raccoon has since returned to normal. “Tomas came back withdrawn, always slept in the corner, and snapped at people,” zoo spokesman Viktor Kiryukhin told the Telegraph. "It took two to three months to change his behavior,” he told the BBC. “Now he is happy again… but he was sad before.”
