Hell yeah. The grassroots group WERK for Peace is planning a "dance party" protest outside Pence's D.C. house.

Vice President-elect Mike Pence, an alleged human being who once said that same-sex couples would initiate "societal collapse" in America, will receive a fitting protest at his own home ahead of the inauguration of a reality TV personality. Gay rights group WERK for Peace has announced a "Queer Dance Party" to take place on the streets outside Pence’s D.C. residence Wednesday night, the Daily Dotreported.

"The homo/transphobic Mike Pence has graciously invited us to shake our booties and bodies in front of/around his house in Chevy Chase," a statement on the protest's public Facebook event page reads. "We plan on leaving behind [biodegradable] glitter and rainbow paraphernalia that he can NEVER forget. #WeAreQueer #WeAreHere #WeWillDance That's right, get ready to WERK it and tell Daddy Pence: Homo/transphobia is not tolerated in our country!"

WERK for Peace is a "queer-based grassroots movement" that harnesses the power of dance to send messages of peace. "The queer community has always been at the forefront of promoting change, and from Stonewall to Pulse, dance is integral to our movement, and to our healing," the official WERK website says of its efforts. "We take to the streets around the world to claim space and assert: We are here. And we will dance. We take to the bars and clubs and we assert: We are here. We will dance."

Pence, in addition to the "societal collapse" fuckery noted above, is also known for a 2000 post on his website regarding HIV/AIDS funding. During his first successful Congress run, Pence proposed that funding should instead be "directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior," BuzzFeed Newsreported last July. Though Pence's team has denied it, LGBTQ activists and others have interpreted that line as a reference to conversion therapy.
