While there are a number of things you could do if you found 20 kilos of that raw in the Gulf of Mexico, 32-year-old Thomas Breeding is here to tell you that you shouldn't do what he and his homeboys did.

On February 16, Breeding will be sentenced along with four other individuals for trying to move that dope throughout their community. In a story he told The News Herald, Breeding said that during the summer of 2016 he "was working as a long line boat captain out of Panama City when I found a package containing 20 kilos of cocaine. I do not know where the drugs came from and haven't ever been involved in the drug trade before. I was just a hard-working, young commercial fisherman."

That lack of knowledge aside, Breeding decided to start fronting chunks of the ~45 pounds of raw coke (which carries a street value of $500,000 to $625,000) he found to a number of individuals, who would in turn kick funds owed back to Breeding. Unbeknownst to him, the police were onto Breeding, and picked him up while he was driving with a firearm on him.

Breeding and his squad ended up all pleading guilty, and getting a federal indictment in September of 2016. Breeding's currently looking at life in prison along with a hefty $4.25 million fine.

Needless to say, Breeding would advise you to heed his word if 20 kilos of cocaine somehow falls into your possession. "This changed my life and way of thinking and also made me aware of some of the dangers that can be found off shore in the Gulf. I would like to let the public know the dangers and what not to do if this situation comes about."
