For some people, like Justin Bieber, Instagram is hell. But Instagram, which has 500 million active users, can be heaven for those who love to share photos from their travels. So where are people throwing up 'grams the most? The most geo-tagged city of 2016 is New York City, it turns out, which hosts three of the world's top 10 most Instagrammed locations, according to CNN. What are the top ten most Instagrammed locations? Let's find out.

10. Vystavka Dostizheniy Narodnogo Khozyaystva (Moscow, Russia)

An unfamiliar spot to many Americans, VDNKh, an amusement park and permanent trade show site in Moscow, has incredible architecture that makes it a popular spot for IG users.

9. Brooklyn Bridge (New York City, New York)

This bridge is insanely famous, so is anybody really surprised?

8. Santa Monice Pier (Santa Monica, California)

Perhaps surprisingly, this California spot was snapped on Instagram more often than the Hollywood sign, Rodeo Drive, and the Walk of Fame.

7. Las Vegas Strip (Las Vegas, Nevada)

Hotels, casinos, fountains, flashing lights, you name it, the Strip has it.

6. Louvre Museum (Paris, France)

One of the world's most famous museums, the Louvre has incredible art on the inside (like the Mona Lisa, for one), but also on the outside too, like the glass pyramid:

5. Eiffel Tower (Paris, France)

One of the most iconic structures in one of the world's most iconic cities, the Eiffel Tower is the most Instagrammed place in 2016 outside of the United States, according to the Washington Post.

4. Times Square (New York City, New York)

If you haven't been to Times Square, have you even been to New York City?

3. Central Park (New York City, New York)

Of all the places in New York, this is the most Instagrammed spot in the city—and with good reason.

2. Universal Studios Theme Parks (Global)

So Instagram's definition of "place" is a little generic here, but together the Universal Studies Parks, like Universal Studios Hollywood and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando.

1. Disney Theme Parks (Global)

Like Universal Studios, there are various Disney properties around the world—and people love to take pictures there. Disney's Magic Kingdom was the most Instagrammed place in Florida, and Disneyland was the most popular spot in California.
