In yet another weird crime story out of Florida, a man was charged after throwing his glass eye at a doctor and nurse. Florida Man gonna Florida Man, I guess.

According to WTSP, 54-year-old Edward Michael Dorsey, who has a glass eye, was already in custody on a domestic battery charge when he was taken to Largo Medical Center's Indian Rocks Road campus in Largo, Florida on Sunday morning. He was getting checked out in the emergency room before being taken to the Pinellas County jail. Dorsey, it turns out, didn't like that idea.

The staff warned Dorsey not to take his glass eye out but, alas, Dorsey told them, "I can do whatever I feel like doing." And he did. He removed his glass eye and threw it at a doctor and nurse.

Before being taken to the hospital, Dorsey was arrested for allegedly hitting his wife during an argument around 8 a.m. Sunday morning, according to The Smoking Gun. The police report says that drugs and alcohol were apparently involved in the dispute.

It's unclear whether Dorsey, who has the words “Dorsey Touch” tatted on his forearm, hit anybody with his eye. Though, either way, it doesn't appear to have injured anyone.

So in addition to the charge of domestic battery that he was facing when he arrived at the hospital, now Dorsey's eye toss got him charged with battery on an emergency medical care provider, too. Dorsey's bail has been set at $25,000 for the charge of domestic battery and $5,000 for throwing his glass eye.

Florida, y'all.
