Recently, Complex News anchor Sean Evans hit Detroit, Michigan to dive into its rich automotive and music history. While the Motor City continues to face economic hardship, it's also become a breeding ground for local artists and entrepreneurs.
Sean traveled to different areas of The D—including Eastern Market and Downtown Detroit—to speak to some of the city’s hottest creators. He chopped it up with rapper Boldy James at his local car wash; discussed Detroit’s budding and “rigorous” art scene with Aaron Blendowski, founder of the collective Omnicorp; and grabbed drinks with Alphonso Cox, a local artist.
If anything is clear, it’s that Detroit is on the rise again. Watch the full Detroit experience above, and be sure to check out more "Run The Underground" episodes on Complex News’ YouTube page.
