The U.S.'s kind Canadian neighbors created the Tell America It's Great campaign to list all the ways America is awesome in the midst of this trying time (election season). And yes, the campaign name is a play on GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's now infamous campaign slogan.

The Tell America It’s Great campaign includes a Twitter account and hashtag. It also includes YouTube videos like the one at the top of this page that are sure to get even the most cynical Americans feeling fuzzy inside. In them, Canadians tell America just why it’s great, citing the nation’s charitable side, its diversity, and its rights movement for differently-abled people.

The New York Times reported the campaign was created by Toronto creative agency Garden Collective. One of the agency’s founders, Shari Walczak, explained what prompted the campaign: “Every morning we’d come together at work and there would inevitably be a discussion about another negative piece of news about the election. We look at it through a Canadian lens, but all of us have friends, family and colleagues who live in America. We realized they’re immersed in it day-in and day-out and how awful that must feel.” Walczak also told the NYT the campaign name is meant to trump the GOP nominee’s own campaign slogan by telling America it doesn’t need to be made great again.

Walczak did admit she knew the act of kindness was only adding to the stereotype that Canadians are nice. “We have managed to personify the whole country with this one initiative!” she said. Here are some of the tweets from the Tell America It’s Great hashtag.
