Who do you love more: Your mom or your dog? A teen in Texas revealed his "true" feelings on the subject while he was coming to after dental surgery while his mother recorded his delirium on her phone. Perhaps as payback for the cruelty that is filming someone when they're loopy on painkillers and coming out of surgery, the teen informed his mother he might love his dog more than he loves her.
In the video, Gabe Rodriguez begins by asking, "You remember Nitro?" who the viewer quickly learns is a dog possibly owned by the family who has died. Sobbing, Rodriguez says, "He was such a good dog. I didn't even know him for that long but every time that I petted him."
Recording the weepy ordeal, Rodriguez's mother, Millie, replied, "I don't think you need to worry about Lincoln [the family's dog] dying right now." Gabe was still emotional, and Millie asked him, "You really love Lincoln, don't you?"
"Maybe more than you," Gabe replied. "It's up for grabs." Laughing in a sort of shocked way, Millie replied, "Well then how about Lincoln takes care of you now that your mouth hurts?" No chill from Millie, here.
Gabe then voiced distress over a scenario in which both Lincoln and his mother would be hanging off the end of the world (he was high, roll with it) and he could only save one of them: "If he was hanging off the edge of the world with his mouth and you were, I would have to grab Lincoln with two hands because his paws couldn't really grab me back. And the anatomy of his body, he would probably hurt his shoulders if I just grabbed one arm so I would have to grab two and then hoist him to safety."
Millie asked him, "And you'd let me fall." Clearly thinking this through, Gabe told her, "But at the same time I feel like you don't have the upper body strength to hold yourself up that long so you would also die."
"I think you would choose me," Millie told him. To which Gabe replied, "I don't know."
