UPDATED 4:00 p.m. ET: A neighbor of the female victim in Minnesota has told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that the victim is Ashley Hasti, a Brooklyn Park, Minn. resident who was in her early 30s, and was enrolled in medical school at the University of Minnesota.

See original story below.

Police discovered that Mainak Sarkar, the suspected shooter at the University of California Los Angeles on Wednesday created a "kill list" that named at least two people in addition to professor William Klug, who was shot and killed. One of the people on the list was a woman in Minnesota, where the shooter was a resident, who was found dead of a bullet wound on Wednesday, according to KTLA news in Los Angeles.

Authorities believe Sarkar committed suicide on the UCLA campus after shooting Klug, prompting an investigation at UCLA and also in Sarkar's home in Minnesota. It was there that KTLA reports police discovered the list, and later found the Minnesota woman dead in her own home. The second victim has not been identified, and police did not name the second UCLA professor whose name appeared on Sarkar's list, but who police said was not harmed. Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck told the Los Angeles Times, "There is no good reason for this."

KTLA further reported that Sarkar, formerly a PhD student at UCLA, was living in Minnesota and drove from Minnesota to California with two handguns and a hefty supply of ammunition. The LAPD is still searching for Sarkar's vehicle, and said they do not have reason to believe there are additional suspects in the crimes.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Sarkar believed professor Klug had stolen a computer code from him, and also given it to another person. An unnamed source told the Times that these claims were "absolutely untrue."

The Brooklyn Park Police Department did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.
