A campaign sign in Tennessee turned more than a few heads for its seemingly Trump-inspired slogan, ultimately leading to the sign's swift removal. Rick Tyler, an independent running for Tennessee's 3rd Congressional district seat against incumbent Chuck Fleischmann, placed his "Make America White Again" campaign sign along a highway in Polk County. According to the New York Daily News, the public outcry ultimately prompted the sign's removal.

"I respect their right to have an opinion," Tyler toldWSMV of the sign's less-than-enthusiastic response. "I believe the majority of the people in the county like it." According to Tyler, he even saw "people taking pictures" beside the sign right after he erected it. Tyler's official website, which Gawker reports currently appears to be down, features a wide variety of similarly offensive campaign signs:

Despite the visual evidence to the contrary, Tyler swears he's not just some loony fringe racist running for Congress. Tyler toldWRCB he has no hate for "people of color," which seems to directly contradict every single thing about this dude's apparent platform of baffling white nationalism.

Tyler is also the owner of a local small business, according toNews Channel 9. The Whitewater Grill in Ocoee, at least according to the local Kiwanis chapter, is about to face some serious boycotting:

Due to recent statements and overtly racist billboards by the principal owner of the Whitewater Grill in Ocoee and himself a declared Independent candidate for Congress, the Kiwanis Club of Ocoee will never meet there again. We are a civic club of inclusion and not exclusion and find these statements repugnant. As a citizen of Polk County, I, Chris Newton, will never personally be back to this establishment.

Attempts to reach the offices of Chuck Fleischmann were not immediately successful.
