A Jacksonville, Fla. dad used a Craigslist ad to shame his teenage son for "smokin dope" while also selling off the son's SUV as punishment. Allen Gieger Jr. has since gone viral and told CNN he's been getting messages of support for his parenting from around the country. The original Craigslist ad was reportedly shared thousands of times on Facebook.

The best part: dad's got jokes. The ad selling the 1998 Ford Explorer for $1,500 offers up a discount if someone local buys it.

"If you live on the WESTSIDE I'll take $250 off the price just so he sees it every now and then so it'll remind him of how good he had it! I have title in hand!"

Gieger had apparently grown tired of the son's behavior and his friend's influence on him. In footage shot by local TV station WJXT, Gieger reaches into the Explorer's ash tray and plucks out a blunt roach before holding it up for the camera.

"I have my sons truck up for sale that I bought for him as his first car, he thinks it's cool to drive around with his friends smokin dope and acting all thug ... I just put new tires on it that he never paid me for because dope was more important and driver seat doesn't come all the way up, I guess cause cops kept riding by!"

The burns did not stop there.

"Now he can put those Jordans to use walk his ass off on these hot summer days!"

The ad did the job. Gieger reportedly sold the SUV only two hours after posting it. It's not clear if the buyer claimed that $250 discount.
