It appears that vigilante justice in Argentina doesn't necessarily shy away from cruel and unusual punishment. The Daily Mail reports that when a man was allegedly caught in the act of trying to rape an 8-year-old girl in Buenos Aires, the people who caught him paraded him through the neighborhood naked, leading him by a rope for eight blocks to shame him for the crime.

After the man had been sufficiently punished, his captors handed him over to police officers, who untied the rope and put him in their patrol car, still naked.

'Next time we will kill you', one man can be heard shouting, whilst a woman says: 'Degenerate! Tie him to the back of the car.

Photos of the punishment were uploaded to social media by someone in the neighborhood who reportedly captioned them, "The neighbors of the community have done justice when we apprehended a criminal who was about to rape a little girls of just 8 years, and we handed him over to police who we hope will get justice for the innocent girl." You can see some of those photos here.

The guy is accused of an absolutely horrific crime, but would this kind of public humiliation prevent him from trying something like this again, or help the community and a young child heal from their trauma? This is Game of Thrones-type shit (remember Cersei's naked walk of shame), and even though we all love spending an hour in that universe on Sunday nights from the comfort of our couch, nobody is trying to live in that world—even the fans get pissed about how brutal it is.

It's not like people don't take justice into their own hands in the United States., either, especially when it comes to crimes against children. You may remember the father who beat a man beyond recognition for molesting his son. That beaten man was eventually convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
