When pairing one's favorite pleasure methods, it might be best to outright avoid the combination of virtual reality porn and autoerotic asphyxiation. That's the takeaway lesson from a decidedly transparent Instagrammer, who is currently stacking up the likes and retweets with the story (including pics) of how his newfound penchant for Pornhub's recently launched VR porn category landed him in the hospital when complemented with some asphyxiation.

"If you hadn't heard, I was found unconscious on my bathroom floor at 3AM by a couple of roommates," Alex Bayer wrote on Wednesday before his story started gaining traction on Twitter. "I'd like to share what happened so maybe I save someone from making the same mistake." Bayer then launches into the classic tale of something seeming like a good idea at the time, only to later be revealed as nothing of the sort. By Bayer's account, he decided to watch some VR porn via Pornhub before also deciding to potentially up the pleasure by choking himself while emptying the proverbial water pistol:

This story, of course, is pretty compelling (and damn near harrowing) stuff. However, as first noted byJOE.ie, this dude's glowing review right in the middle of the story (i.e. "actually pretty cool stuff") does indeed add a layer of mystery to the proceedings. A quick glance through the comments on the photo, once one has scrolled through the endless amount of happy-cry emoji, also reveals a possible new career for the cautionary 'grammer:

Though it certainly goes without saying, don't try this at home. In fact, as Ayers himself notes in his soon-to-be infamous 'gram, don't try this anywhere.
