It’s time to take a break from those doomsday thinkpieces on Donald Trump becoming president for your feel good story of the day. A dog who was thought to have been lost at sea forever will soon be reunited with her owner.

According to Time, one-year-old German Shepherd Luna was reported missing on Feb. 10 after falling overboard several miles from San Clemente, a Naval island just off the coast of San Diego. She was out on a fishing trip with her owner Nick Hawork when she fell into the Pacific Ocean. Hawork enlisted the help of his Navy friends to search for the missing canine for days but came up empty. She was then presumed dead.

Five weeks later, she was discovered alive and well on San Clemente by stunned members of the Navy. "They saw Luna just sitting on the side of the road wagging her tail," Naval public affairs officer Sandy DeMunnik told ABC News. "Keep in mind, there are no domesticated animals on the island, so it was a stunning sight."

She is thought to have survived by eating mice on the island after swimming her way to shore. A wildlife biologist for the San Diego Zoo determined that she was a little malnourished but otherwise fine. She will be reunited with her owner once he returns from a work trip.
