Drones are the current bogeyman right now when it comes to security fears. Security experts are all freaking out about a future where anyone can just buy a drone off Amazon and use it to snoop on people, smuggle illegal goods, or crash it into things. Nothing has happened yet, but it’s a genuine concern.

The Met Police have a new idea of how to deal with them: training eagles to snatch them out of the sky. Yes, really. Trials in Holland have shown the hawks are particularly adept at taking them out. Met Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe reportedly saw the Dutch trials on Youtube and is now looking into whether it would work in London.
